Cisco and NVIDIA have introduced an AI factory architecture that puts security at its core. Together, the companies are developing the Cisco Secure AI Factory to simplify how enterprises deploy, manage, and secure AI infrastructure at any scale.

The MANTA subsea cable system, a transformative project connecting Mexico, the USA, and Latin America, has awarded its design, manufacturing, and installation contract to SubCom. The project is led by Sparkle, Gold Data, and Liberty Networks.

Rural Telecommunications America (RTA) will deliver “gigFAST® ” internet services to 10,471 unserved rural broadband subscriber locations in Bastrop County, Texas. RTA, which manages more than 15,000 fiber route miles across its 25-state footprint, is leveraging a BOOT II $43 million grant to bring a state-of-the-art fiber-to-the-premises (FTTx) access network to this rural Texas county, east of Austin. Residences in these formerly unserved and underserved locations will now have the opportunity to subscribe to symmetrical gigabit services, with the potential for multi-gigabit services in the future, while businesses will have access to symmetrical gigabit, 10 gigabit, and 100 gigabit services.

Cirion Technologies plans to deploy a suite of Ciena solutions, including WaveLogic 6 Extreme (WL6e), the industry’s first 1.6 Tb/s coherent optical technology. This upgrade will boost Cirion’s network capacity across its expansive terrestrial and submarine networks and includes what is expected to be the first 1.6 Tb/s single carrier wavelength deployments in Latin America.

Zayo and Infinera have announced the successful completion of a live network trial using Infinera’s ICE7, a seventh-generation embedded optical engine, to deliver 1 Tb/s single 150GHz wavelength transmission over 1,391 kilometers (km) on a major North American route between Sacramento, CA and Salt Lake City.

Airtel landed the new SEA-ME-WE 6 (Southeast Asia-Middle East-West Europe-6, or SMW6) submarine cable in Chennai, following the successful cable landing in Mumbai on December 30, 2024. 

Hexa Capital Consultancy PLT has engaged APTelecom to spearhead the pre-sales and post-sales activities for all MYUS products. Additionally, APTelecom will provide consulting, project management, and implementation support for the MYUS Submarine Cable Project.

Super Sistem has engaged APTelecom LLC to engage prospective customers on its behalf to undertake pre-sales for the BTI submarine cable system. In parallel, APTelecom is also taking responsibility for the implementation and project management function for installation of the system.

The capital injection will be used to fund Brazil TecPar's strategic business plan of expanding and consolidating its fiber optic platform and strengthening the delivery of fixed broadband and telecommunications solutions to residential, corporate and government customers.
